Branding Incanto: The Cityside of The Wharf

With its grand opening coming October 12th, The Wharf will be DC’s newest entertainment destination with the unique character of a world-class waterfront community. Hickok Cole Creative is pleased to have contributed a comprehensive branding and marketing package for the apartment building now called Incanto. Together with the development and marketing teams at HoffmanMadison Waterfront, we branded Incanto as a sophisticated rebel at heart and staked it on the city side of The Wharf. In establishing this strategy, Incanto is functionally positioned between its sister condo offering at Vio and The Wharf’s socially programmed and music-centric residences at The Channel. Yet, Incanto is also a rebel with heart too. It complements Vio by pairing the meaning of its name “I sing” with Vio’s “I journey” and develops a satisfyingly nuanced logomark (at least for us graphic designers) built from the shape between the tittle and stem of Vio’s letter I. Located “cityside” on Maine Avenue, Incanto is bold and modern with sleek, private interior spaces. Just downstairs, The Wharf’s neighborhood retailers offer hardware and grocery, dry cleaning and personal care without having to leave the block. At this intersection of entertainment, shopping, and dining, be a sophisticated rebel. Then come home to Incanto.
