Mr. Perkins is an Associate Principal with Hickok Cole Architects with more than sixteen years of professional experience in architectural design for academic, institutional, commercial, and residential projects.
Prior to joining Hickok Cole Architects, Mr. Perkins worked at Cunningham|Quill Architects, Zaras & Neudorfer Architects, and Hartman-Cox Architects. His breadth of experience ranges from high-profile historic preservation projects such as the Lincoln Memorial, The Jefferson Memorial, and the National Portrait Gallery to luxury single family residences and additions. He has also served as designer on many university and library projects across the United States for clients such as Case Western Reserve University, Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Maryland, Georgetown University, and American University.
Mr. Perkins is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is LEED accredited in sustainable design by the U.S. Green Building Council. He has taught graduate level studies at Catholic University and often serves on design reviews and as a thesis advisor at local universities. An accomplished photographer, Mr. Perkins’ work was featured in the multi-page article “Space to Learn” in the April 2009 issue of Architect magazine.
