Ellen joined Hickok Cole as a winter intern in 2012 and returned in 2015 as a Staff Architect. After a brief stint in the Tulane University Business School it reaffirmed Ellen’s passion for design, she graduated from Tulane in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture as well as a Masters in Architecture with a minor in Urban Studies. At Tulane, Ellen helped lead and manage a design-build project for a pavilion on New Orleans City Park’s Scout Island where she rediscovered her joy of ‘making.’ The project received an AIA New Orleans Merit Award in the Divine Detail category in 2014.
Ellen is intrigued by the relationships and overlaps that can exist between technology, sustainability, and architecture, and found her niche as an active member of the Project Technology Committee. She is also a member of the Sustainability and Full Circle Committees. Ellen is a DC native and enjoys watching the Redskins and Capitals, as well as snowboarding, practicing barre/yoga, painting, and cuddling with her aussie-dor.
