Justin graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture and Minor in Industrial Design from Virginia Tech with Honors. After school he moved to Chicago and enjoyed years of exposure to international architectural work at the office of Helmut Jahn, among other firms. While still in Chicago he worked on DC area projects such as a new office building on Pennsylvania Ave and the Reston Station complex, thus establishing a connection to Hickok Cole Architects.

Justin is a member of the Project Technology Committee and Softball team at HCA. He enjoys the softball games after work played by the White house, especially on the few summer days cooler than 95 degrees with humidity lower than 80%.

Outside of the office, Justin enjoys family time with his wife and baby boy. He is also interested in the history of modern design. Enjoys collecting mid-century furniture and researching designers, typically from the Bauhaus to the present, and what inspired them all. Justin uses this research to expand his own language of design.
