Shelly Mrstik specializes in the project implementation aspects of projects. She helps to carry “the big idea” from start-to-finish, and her experience includes pre-project master planning, feasibility studies, project documentation, and diligent construction administration. She received her Master of Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2004, and her Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies with a Certificate in Urban Planning from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee in 2001.
Ms. Mrstik formed the in-house Base Building Office Committee at the firm. She has presented at several conferences including “Firm Culture + Financial Strategy = a Case for Corporate Committees” at AIA’s 2011Design DC conference and PCI Architect’s Day in 2010. An accomplished writer, Ms. Mrstik’s article on Building M at National Harbor was recently published in Ascent Magazine.
Ms. Mrstik has passed the Architectural Registration Exam and is a registered architect of Washington, DC. She became LEED accredited in sustainable design by the US Green Building Council in 2009. Ms. Mrstik is skilled in Revit, AutoCAD, 3D Studio Viz, Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat.
